Arnold Hill Academy is an inspirational place to work. The academy campus is located in a pleasant, suburban area of Nottingham and is undergoing substantial environmental development, including a brand new building, which provides an atmosphere extremely conducive to learning. All our staff are aspirational for themselves and their pupils. Results are showing an upward trend in both GCSE and at A level.

The Trent Academies Group is a multi-academy trust, based in Nottingham. Our aim is to support schools and academies in providing outstanding education for their pupils. The Trust currently consists of Arnold Hill Academy, Rushcliffe School, an outstanding school in West Bridgford and The Farnborough Academy in Clifton.

In our Group we work together, share staff, join up expertise, build on each other’s strengths, pool resources and combine facilities, so that everybody, staff and pupils, gets the chance to shine and achieve their best.

Arnold Hill Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. Advertised posts may be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

School Direct

resizedimage150105 Minster Teaching School AllianceWe are proud to announce that Arnold Hill Academy is now an active member of the Minster Teaching School Alliance (MTSA). The MTSA is committed to identifying, training and supporting outstanding teachers of the future.

The alliance has a strong track record of outstanding outcomes, employment rates and high levels of academic attainment. Membership of MTSA allows us to participate in School Direct and provides access for trainees to year-long training programme leading to Qualified Teacher Status.

School Direct is a new Teacher Training scheme designed to allow schools to recruit and train the new teachers they want. MTSA offers a variety of opportunities to people considering a career in education including School Direct trainee positions in secondary subject specialisms which are run in partnership with the University of Nottingham. Trainees will be based in school but will also receive training one day a week. Trainees will also have the opportunity to experience a placement elsewhere within the Minster Teaching School Alliance.
