The summer 2018 exam certificates are now ready to collect. If you have left the Academy, please report to A Block reception to sign for and check your certificates before you leave with them. If you cannot collect your certificates and would like someone to do so on your behalf, please make sure you give that person your written permission to do so. The certificates will only be held at the Academy for one year so please collect them as soon as possible.

The Academy is open Monday – Thursday 8.00am - 4.00pm, and Friday 8.00am - 3.30pm.

If you are currently in year 12 at the Academy please see Mrs Spencer, 6th Form Administrator. Your GCSE certificates are in her office waiting to be collected; you will be asked to sign for and check them before you take them away.

More ways to report bullying concerns

Email - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

At Arnold Hill we are always looking at ways to improve, being an All Together Gold School for 2018 doesn’t mean that our work to improve stops.

We are launching an email address for pupils and parents to directly report concerns or issues where they feel they/their child is being bullied or to report concerns about another student. This goes directly to Miss Garrad who leads on anti-bullying and this will then be shared with the pastoral team who will contact you and investigate the concerns.

Bullying is the repetitive, intentional hurting of one person or group by another person or group, where the relationship involves an imbalance of power. Bullying can be physical, verbal or psychological. It can happen face to face or through cyberspace.

All Together Gold School award

All Together Gold School 2018We are delighted to announce that Arnold Hill Academy has become an ‘All Together Gold School for 2018 for our work on anti-bullying.

This means that we have taken part in an England wide programme and have been recognised for our work to reduce bullying and improve the well-being of our pupils. Being awarded gold doesn’t mean that bullying never takes place, but that as an Academy we have taken steps to improve how we address issues of bullying and how we support our pupils.

Arnold Hill Abseil Challenge 2018

Abseil2Abseil1

A big ‘Well done’ to all our students and staff who challenged themselves to do something ‘out of the ordinary’ to raise money for good causes. Over 50 brave students and staff completed a full abseil down the outside of our new A Block building. Sponsorship collected so far, including great individual efforts from Abby and Isobel (year 8, pictured) who both raised over £200 each, has totalled over three thousand pounds. Donations will be made to support the schools nominated charities, Teenage Cancer Trust and The Royal British Legion.
