Student Skydiving for Charity
We're really proud of one of our year 10 students, Liberty Lee, as she has chosen to take part in a charity skydive and raise funds in aid of Muscular Dystrophy UK. Liberty has chosen this particular charity to help one of her friend's brother who has the condition. As well as conducting research, one of the primary aims of the charity is to host events that allow people with muscular dystrophy the opportunity to meet other people and most of all have fun.
Liberty says she has always wanted to do a charity skydive and she'll finally get the chance at Langar Airfield on 10th September 2017. She will be jumping from 15,000 feet in a tandem skydive, and will then free fall for aprroximately 8,000-9,000 feet before the parachute opens!
If you would like to help Liberty meet her £550 fundraising target, you can donate on her fundraising page http://www.everyclick.com/libertylee
